There's Always Change.

He made a request
not thinking wisely
just a second chancewas all he asked for
as it was given the same way was it taken

What could be said of a man who thought
only of now but not next
who could blame him
for being desperate.

He cried at his time of need
but forgot to smile when he had it all
he failed to remember one thing
change
it was always around the corner
I advice him to turn down the pride
and remind him thatit was gone for a while
it would be back to test him
I hope he remembers to smile next
